The 2022 Saggi Red Wine is a blend of 67% Sangiovese (its most ever), 19% Cabernet Sauvignon for structure, and 14% Syrah for spiciness. Meaty and full of sweet baking spice and minerally iron, it’s a full-bodied, elegant wine of dense black fruit and fierce, melting tannins. The grapes come from Candy Mountain, Blue Mountain, and Sagemoor. It’s good to go and age-worthy for another 10-12 years.

Built around 67% Sangiovese, supported by 19% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Syrah, this edition of Saggi opens with a swirl of dark cherry and crushed plum, layered over warm notes of cardamom and worn leather. The fruit sourced from Candy Mountain, Blue Mountain, and Sagemoor gives the wine a sense of breadth, and the full-bodied frame carries both richness and finesse as it moves across the palate.
