Jim Chesemore

Jim Chesemore lives in Snohomish, Washington, and works in the Insurance and Risk Management field. He discovered Long Shadows while in Walla Walla visiting one of his clients, the Marcus Whitman Hotel. He asked for suggestions of where to go wine tasting, and they told him Long Shadows was a “MUST winery to visit.” He’s been a fan ever since.

Jim explains that there are two main reasons why he joined the Key Club six years ago; the customer service and the access to The Library private tasting room. “First, and most importantly, the Key Club experience is something that I use with my clients and important vendors. Especially for those guests from out of the Seattle Metro / Woodinville area, taking them to The Library is an incredible wine tasting experience that many of them ask to do again when they’re back in town. The staff at the winery who conduct the tastings at the private Key Club room are incredible. They are great hosts, and they are very knowledgeable about the Long Shadows wines. It’s really an incredible experience!”

Aside from wine, Jim is a huge sports fan and loves to utilize his Key Club privileges to watch sporting events at The Library. “That is another great aspect of being a Key Club member. I have come into the Key Club room several times to do a tasting with an out of town guest and have watched a Husky or Seahawks game. What an experience.”

Feather is Jim’s favorite Long Shadows wine, and when his dad turned 80 they enjoyed a bottle of Feather together with some great steaks. “He still talks about that bottle of wine!” As much as he enjoyed sharing that bottle of wine with his dad, Jim’s favorite way to enjoy a bottle of wine is at The Library with his wife after having dinner across the street at Purple or The Commons. It’s these experiences and memories that have kept Jim as a Key Club member for all these years.
