Expressive aromatics of white flowers, ripe pear and peach are laced with a delightful hint of wet stone minerality. Lively and pure on the palate, with fresh citrus, honey and mouthwatering apricot flavors. A delicious natural acidity and trace of residual sugar provide a balanced, vibrant mouth feel and long, satisfying finish.

91 Points

Editors' Choice. Vibrant aromas of pear, flowers, Meyer lemon and herb are followed by off-dry drinking, medium-bodied Nestea iced tea flavors. Vibrant acidity backs it up, heightening the interest. It's delicious, but give it some time to open up.

90 Points

Aside from Chateau Ste. Michelle, this estate consistently produces the best Riesling in the state. The 2018 Poet's Leap sports a lively gold hue to go with classy notes of sugared green apple, sappy herbs, mint, and hints of minerality. Medium-bodied, off-dry, and beautifully balanced, with a vibrant finish, it will evolve gracefully for over a decade.

Vineyards

The 2018 Poet’s Leap Riesling is an equal blend of three distinct vineyards. German clones from The Benches in the Horse Heaven Hills provide appealing minerality. Yakima Valley’s Phil Church Vineyard contributes citrus aromas and flavors. Dionysus Riesling, from vines planted in 1972, adds vibrant acidity and stone fruit characteristics.
