The 2022 Pedestal Merlot showcases bold aromas of black licorice, Italian plum, and dark fruit. A lush mid-palate reveals sweet spice and marzipan, supported by a full-bodied backbone. Mouthcoating tannins and vibrant, mouthwatering acidity create an impressive balance. Concentrated yet refined, the wine lingers with smooth intensity across a flavorful finish.

With grapes from Dionysus, Weinbau, and Candy Mountain, the 2022 Pedestal Merlot adds 17% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, creating a wine of tremendous richness, full-bodied weight and length. Fermented in big oak upright tanks, it offers a perfumed bouquet of sage and black cherry, gunsmoke, oak spice, and refined tannins. Age 15-20 years.
